WHERE WE ARE FROM

WHERE WE ARE FROM

A Poem by UNDER UR SKIN

I AM FROM WHERE THE SNEAKERS HANG FROM THE TELEPHONE

WIRES AND LEE JEANS WERE THE S**T

I AM FROM LINES PEOPLE MADE FOR BLOCK CHEESE

AND POWDER MILK

I AM FROM JAMICAN PATTIES AND COCO BREAD

I AM FROM THE YELLING AND THE BEATINGS

I AM FROM THE HAND ME DOWNS AND FOOD STAMPS

I AM FROM THE TELL ME WHO YOU ARE HANGING OUT WITH

AND I WILL TELL YOU WHO YOU ARE

I AM FROM NO FATHER BUT A CHILD

I AM FROM NO MOTHER BUT A WARRIOR

I AM FROM FAT ALBERT AND ELECTRIC COMPANY

I AM FROM SLEY RIDINGS WITH GARBAGE BAGS AND MISS

MATCH GLOVES

I AM FROM THE RICH DRUG DEALERS AND THE CRACK HEAD BUMS

I AM FROM TEENAGE MOMS AND DEAD BEAT DAD’S

I AM FROM ALL THAT’S GHETTO

I AM FROM ALL THAT IS ME

Beautiful flow of words, I like your style the way you were able to represent yourself in poetic justice kind of a way. Love it great job
