One Day.A Poem by tysonI hailed a cab; homeward bound it would take me, One appeared straight away, something unusual aroused me. Something not quite right, something hidden from sight. I’m sure I’ll be fine, I said, and hopped in with fright.
Smiling politely, he sped down the street; To a cliff face we rolled, where he swallowed me whole, Then he leapt off the edge, through the clouds we did fall.
Deep down below us, we came to a halt, Landing on the seabed, as hard as asphalt. Surrounded by turquoise, by all types of creatures, He lay on his back and fell fast asleep with the fishes.
In the belly of subsidence, sitting in silence, Thoughts of such nonsense, I ordered his conscience. Not a soul to come save me, no one to amuse, I guess this is home now, so I kicked off my shoes. © 2013 tysonReviews
