A Faraway LoveA Poem by Peter SchalA Faraway Love What thinks you, that I am greatly in love? Is it the way that I share such good joy? I feel my heart flutter like a white dove, As I pass among you, my lovely toy. You are acute; one cannot deny it, Your voice is light, like a snowflake falling. Yet I seem to not keep my voice quiet, A demeanor which I find appalling. Your eyes are green, like a summer’s meadow; I laugh and frolic in its very depths. The skies be blue and the mountains mellow, The wind, it doth kisses my dancing steps. Hear, I wish greatly for your gentle touch, A trait of yours I miss quite very much. © 2010 Peter SchalAuthor's Note
