The Archer Vindicated

The Archer Vindicated

A Poem by Jus
"

Second part in the class type outline poems. Grew bored, now it's another project on the wayside.

"

Loose this slender timber,
Eye fail me not, I've in sight my dream
A general of war, a forsaker of fair
A humble timber, spurn the still air
Such a lovely tip honed by vengeance
Crafted of light steels, smelted in hate
Peers as you may have, you shine above
Your duty is solemn, plunge the general to Hades
Drown him in Styx, let him not know peace
Such atroscities can't be justified in war
Only can they be atoned by one of equal horror
To end a life is to be better than another
In such case I am a god to him
Pierce heavy mail, shred frail flesh
Your destiny calls, slender timber
Life has granted your only task
End that which would end a hundred more.
There you are, burrowing deep inside
His wails of sorrows are but music to the troops.
A war monger defeated, a field tyrant fallen
Now a new timber, a new target, a new destiny
Let loose, slender timber, let us repeat this waltz.
