Inbetween Conciousness

Inbetween Conciousness

A Poem by Janna Nicole

I see a man suspended from a tall ceiling, by a bar pierced through his stomach.
Attached to the top of the bar is a chain, draping him down from the ceiling.
Though no blood falls.
Not a drop, even as he stretches his limbs out every which way.

In between his movements he serves as a shield from the naked light bulb above him.
The light dims and brightens as he waves his arms and legs up and out.
The shadows dance, surrounded by yellow light.
His motions are fluid and somehow graceful.
Almost as if he were dancing ballet, to a soft melody.

No sign of pain nor panic.
He simply uses the space and movement granted.

Gee
Jeepers, I'd like to take a wander around your mind. Nicely written, strange

I cringed in pain as I read the first stanza but sat in wonder as I read the rest of your piece. Fantastic work here.
