First CrawlA Poem by Ryan Falzon - TymonA poem about a famous bible phrase.Have you ever seen a newborn crawling away from a little dust, giving off the first blink? A tiny hand pulls strongly, pushing the fragile body on Eyes blurred, blinded with dirt still greeting the first morning sun so the child crawled, into the gloomy desert. A single shine of life, in nonexistent land. A crawl turned into a walk slowly yet steady moving on. Tiredness crept on top the child, heavy on the shoulders until surrender. The eyes did not blink again, a final bed of dirt and dust. A final breath of release, escapes into the dead land. The nonexistent land blooms, From colorless to bright green, From dull black to bright blue. The colors shift to appease. "From dust you were made, And to dust you shall go." Leaving out a little fact, about the life-giving flow.
