Dancing Stars

Dancing Stars

A Poem by Ryan Falzon - Tymon
"

Poem not about what is the meaning of life, but rather why do we need one, anyway?

"
The stars dance for me to see.
I smile as they look back to me,
Each one a part of a larger face,
Created by my imaginative gaze.

The stars are beautiful and bright!
While the planets are shy and out of sight,
Wondering what makes the sky blue,
seemed like a stupid thing to do.

The sky is colorless and in disguise,
Covering the universe with a sheet of lies.
And with each lie we finally break.
A new one appears in its wake.

So what if the answer is 42?
What can that possibly mean to you?
It would be great to know the story,
But is it worth all of this worry?

So if the sky is just one big lie,
And the truth means that we die.
What is left of the “magnificent” story,
after being robbed of mystery and glory?
