CrowWoman & MudGirl

CrowWoman & MudGirl

A Poem by Ryan Falzon - Tymon

They called her filthy, ugly and pathetic.
Always given the worst of the work.
Always ignored, insulted and spat upon.
This is the life of the MudGirl.

She hated them. Hate them coldly.
But she was weak and couldn't do anything.
And she was young, knowledge was limited.
But her hatred grew more bitter each day.

They grew older, with her life "friends".
As time passes they all found a partner.
And soon settled down into lovable families.
But not the MudGirl. Never the MudGirl.

As she grew older, so did her mind.
Beauty did not come to her as she hoped.
No, she was still the ugly filthy girl.
But her heart grew dark, and mind widened.

Now left alone, as the last one married off.
No one even remembers the MudGirl.
But she remembers them. And remembers well.
Her blood is now black with needs for revenge

They drop like flies. One by One.
Nobody suspected the MudGirl.
A crow appears in the window,
and at the very next day,
the CrowWoman strikes.

fascinating interpretation~ the foray into entertaining what happens to a pearl drenched in mud as she finds the sharp bade of her wings~ I like the pattern of how this is drawn along~ how it is hinyed at that innocence crushed and turned dirty may one day find its edge with a serrated brand of vengeance clasped in a fist~
