The Dragon

The Dragon

This is a story about a young man.
Who's name happened to be Dan.
Dan was an fortunate little fellow.
Read his tale that I've written below.

Dan was going to school like a normal boy.
A dragon flew right in front of him.
It oddly looked like a lifeless toy.
It moved and growled, and was quite slim.

It sobbed and rubbed against his feet.
Like a small cat, wanting a little treat.
Dan was excited, yet fear still dwelt.
He picked up the dragon, and see how it felt.

The dragon's skin was smooth as a fish scale.
His claws were sharp, but trimmed with detail.
His eye were tiny blue sprinkles on top of the cake.
And in each eye, lied hidden a beautiful lake.

Dan carried the helpless little creature.
Walking and admiring each little feature.
Ignoring the dragon's tail, a venomous snake.
As it slowly moves on his back, his life to take.

Author's Note

Ryan Falzon - Tymon
This poem is written in the form of a child's story. Yet holds a very important final saying. The whole story simply shows that one cannot fully trust strangers, no matter how friendly the appear to be.
