Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Ryan Falzon - Tymon
"

Poem about saying the final goodbye.

"
Goodbye, I wish to miss you my friend,
I cannot come back, this is the end.
I wish I could remember our final times,
Sadly I cannot, for I am out of rhymes.

I wish I can say that I will miss you,
I will not, for that would not be true,
When I leave my memory will die,
Can I save it if I try?

Although I will not miss you,
Nor will I remember my day,
I will leave something, that's true.
A game that I like to play.

If you read between my rhymes,
You can relive most of my times,
I wish I can read my words again,
I cannot, nor can I cry in vain.

So goodbye my friend,
I shall not miss you,
With pen at my hand,
I can show, that is true.

Author's Note

Ryan Falzon - Tymon
This poem states how one person is saying goodbye to a dear friend of his, in the poem he states that he shall not miss him, nor remember him, this is because that the person will be dead, and when dead a person cannot miss or remember anything. But, in his writing, the person may still preserve his memory.

A quite touching and poignant portrayal of what might be a parting verse from a dying friend. There is in fact a somewhat rhetorical sound to the words, as though this person's words will not be heard, and that it is a silent prayer to those left behind. I think it is true that the most lasting testament of someone's life can be found in the words they wrote when alive, everlasting perhaps, and of the time; rather like a literary snapshot of their personality. One can read a dead man's words and hear the voice as though it were alive, and this will never alter.
"If you read between my rhymes,
You can relive most of my times"
The whole essence of the theme is reflected incisively and intelligently within the above lines. A writer's personality is alive and kicking within their writing, and that can never die. A thoughtful, although sad piece of work.

Simple words, and a very good flow. I loved it. Everyone can relate it to oneself in a way or another, if its a memory or a person it doesn't matter. Very good write [=
