I see "IT" as being perhaps the dark side of someone's soul: the person doesn't want it to be there, doesn't want it to be real... but unfortunately the inevitable truth is that it is, though it may be supressed and hidden.. It is there "waiting and waiting, for the moment to come".. That moment being the full actualisation of its existence within the soul.. When, at a given moment and circumstance, it will be released.. its keeper unable to prevent its escape... And then, the consequences...
As to what this 'dark side' may be, can only depend upon the particular 'keeper'.. If anyone says they do not have a 'dark side' - then i would say that they are in denial.. or maybe not human....!
I agree, to a certain extent with first reviewer, in that "IT" can apply to many different things and i think again this is a useful asset within a poem.. it makes it accessible and universal: which this poem is.
I really like the title and the personification of "IT".. this adds power to the message. And the poem is well-written and clear in its thoughtful and disturbing intentions.
I enjoyed this. My curiosity is horribly sparked though. Maybe you can give us a clue as to what "IT" is? You don't have to be definite, because it's fun to a reader to decide what "it" is for themselves. Yet it may help to push us in the right direction.

@R.Nella. What "it" represents to me is something that i wanted to keep to myself at that time(like I said, this is an old poem), which actually was anger, and temptation to just say "f**k it all!". So, I wrote the poem in a way to capture my feeling, but not actually tell the reader what my problem IS, and let them fill in the blanks with their own!
This could be about... pretty much anything you know isn't good for you, but you perhaps desire anyway. Drug addiction was the first thing that came to my mind.
For me, it reminds me of my own desire to find 'the one', and not fall in to the trap of ending up in a series of meaningless relationships.
It's about whatever emotion it invokes in the reader. Love it!
You wish to know more about me?
You want to see what I see?
Then listen to the words I write.
With them I will give you my sight.
I'm a thinker in my time.
Making everything rhyme.
Wondering w.. more..
