ConscienceA Poem by James Mckay
Hey you! The one with the pen
Are you ready to write yourself another poem? So what shall we write about today?Do we need a subject? No! Every thing okay? You can write about your feelings or the events of today You can close your eyes and focus or ask your heart what to say Don't leave the paper blankCome on man, you gotta think There are no wrong words; just be yourselfAnd I'm sure everything will be written well It doesn't have to rhymeOr be short or long Please take your time So it doesn't come out wrong No, I don't mean to rush youPoetry doesn't really take perfection Just keep the words right in view Sometimes they can be a reflection I'm sure you'll write the way that you wantIn you, I should learn to put in way more trust For sometimes things that are said could be important Okay, I'll back off and talk to you later. Sincerely, your conscience! by: JWM 8-29-15 © 2023 James Mckay |
