The Visitors at the Treehouse pt 2

The Visitors at the Treehouse pt 2

A Poem by James Mckay
"

I hope someone is enjoying these little tales. Kind of reminds me of Goosebumps.

"
The Walter Brothers were Johnathan 7 and Timothy 8
So Timothy said we need to come up with a plan, concentrate
Later that night Johnathan heard a noise by the garbage cans
It appears the flood lights came on and alerted the dogs again

Johnathan tapped on his brother shoulder and was smiling happily
He said I have an idea about the plan but it will involve electricity
They asked their dad the next morning but he was a bit agitated
Said you boys don't need electricity and those lights are battery operated

Well their mother took them to the store and purchased a few lights
She drove them back to the tree and the boys set them just right
Johnathan looked a Timothy and said, "Do you really want to do this?"
Timothy lowered his head and kicked a rock and then said, "Yes!"

Johnathan told his big brother that he was scared and wasn't sure
Timothy promised that no harm would come to him; it's an adventure
Soon Friday came around and the boys had all that they needed
Dad kept joking about Bigfoot and how we just may meet him

The boys already had a pulley system and pulled their cooler on up
It got a little darker as they ate their sandwiches and drank kool-aid in a cup
Timothy checked the flashlight and the camera and the batteries were good to go
Then he looked over at Johnathan and said, "It's too late to back out now ya know!"

Just then, they heard that noise again and they started shuffling back
Timothy told his little brother to just be quiet and try not to over react
They heard the grunting and the growling and so Timothy got closer to see
Then the flood lights came on and what they saw got spooked away real easily

Timothy finally got out the flashlight and much to both of their surprise
When he lights went off, his flashlight seemed to capture several pair of eyes
They shockingly retreated to the back of the tree house and gave each other a look
Then the moment went silent and then that's when the entire tree shook

The boys began to scream and their things were scattered all over the place
Timothy looked at Johnathan who had that very shocking look on his face
The next morning Johnathan wouldn't speak and his parents weren't sure
Timothy couldn't believe that in his own backyard was some kind of monster

He wasn't sure if he should report this to those "Hunters" there on the t.v.
He wasn't sure if he should ask his dad to take down the house from the oak tree
He wasn't sure if he should try and kill these things that made his brother scared
All he knew was that for now, he hadn't planning on going back out there.

to be continued..................
