LIFE

LIFE

A Poem by James Mckay

Life has a funny way of opening your eyes
You want to sit there and argue with it
But instead, you come to a compromise

There are days where you will blame it
There are days where you will curse it
There are days where come out on top
Then you know you'll have to reimburse it

Life is use to handling things, even rejection
It's use to being loved and being hated
For we are bound to cross its intersections

It's use to being second guessed and questioned
It's use to being contemplated and harassed
It's use to being the laughing stock of many jokes
But look also at how many times that it has surpassed

Life can be a wonderful, magical, and breathtaking journey
It can show us things that we have never seen before
And it can prepare us for things to come, so we won't have to worry

No matter what you throw at it, it will take it
Just give it your all and I'm sure you'll be all right
I'm sure if you're good to it; it'll be good to you
As we walk along the path, through the circle of life.
