Hey Mr. Lion

Hey Mr. Lion

A Poem by James Mckay

Hey Mr. Lion
I see you lying there
What's that? I came to see you!
I drove to get here

Hey Mr. Lion
I got a question for you
Have you ever eaten anybody?
And did they taste like chicken too?

Hey Mr. Lion
Do you know they call us animals as well
I know we're a different breed
And a different kingdom; do tell

Hey Mr. Lion
Are you really King of the Jungle?
You aren't a scared pussycat?
Trust me, I know you're ready to rumble

Hey Mr. Lion
I heard the hyenas laughin at you
They say the monkeys next door
Hit you in the face with their poo

Hey Mr. Lion
Don't get so mad at me
I'm just tellin you what I heard
C'mon! Who you gonna believe?

Hey Mr. Lion
Look like it's time for me to run
I know you cannot chase me
The cheetah told me you're done!
