Entrapment

Entrapment

A Poem by James Mckay

Why do you torment me?
Why can't you let me be?
Is it for your satisfactory?

Do you love seeing me ache in pain?
And crawling upon all fours again?
Every time I try to stand; I start to spin

Any time that we try and fire back
You counter again with a new attack
And all you do is sit back and laugh

It seems you have the advantage yet again
You enjoy being on top of the mountain
But the days ahead; we're slowly countin'

It appears you have resources on your side
All we do is stay in our rooms and hide
So we pray for a real helpful guide

All it takes is one screw up and we got you
That is all that we want to see you go through
Then let's see if you know what you must do

So what do you know; you just happened to slip
Looks like you're leaving; you're abandoning ship
Now you all know what it's like to step in sh*t

It's so peaceful, quiet, and we're free
You are no longer tormenting and hurting me
Now I live for my own satisfactory!
