Tell Me That You Love Me

Tell Me That You Love Me

A Poem by James Mckay
"

song I wrote today

"
It's not difficult to express
If you want to tell the world
How I am the one for you
And you're the one for me girl
Let's go ahead and shout it
We will make it crystal clear
We'll enjoy the ride together
And face criticism and fear
We will face every challenge
Despite them being rough
And no matter where I go
I wanna get lost in your love
So....

Tell me that you love me
And I will tell you right back
Let's see what they all say
Let's see how they all react
Will they all get excited?
Saying, "What took us so long?"
Will they say we're perfect
Or something about us is wrong?
It doesn't matter, for you make me happy
So get on over here and tell me that you love me

I don't care if they're jealous
I don't care if they get mad
They just long for something
That they probably never had
So don't listen to their whispers
Don't take anything to heart
Most of them will do their best
To try and tear us both apart
We will beat all the negatives
You and I are meant to survive
For you're the air I breathe
You are keeping me so alive
So.....

We just knew it wasn't going to be easy
We knew there would be bumps along the way
So as long as we dedicate ourselves baby
I know for sure that you and I will be okay

No it doesn't matter, for you just make me happy
So get on over here and tell me that you love me
Yeah, get on over here and tell me that you love me
