Answer MeA Poem by James Mckayabout a poet suffering with writer's block
I sit upon this stump
Pen and paper in hand And the words come from A huge gust of wind Did it speak to me?What did you say? Please speak clearly Why do you move away? Come back! Come back!I was in such deep thought Trust me, I won't over react Just please don't blow me off What is it you want to me say?I'm not sure how I should feel I am starting to turn a bit grey I just thought we had a deal I can feel you on my neckI enjoy your cool, gentle breeze You are more than I did expect Just say something, please Don't toil with my emotionsPlease don't break my heart I'm leaving it out in the open Just don't rip it apart Don't let me wait much longerI feel this isn't the best of me Forgive me, for I'm not stronger Please hurry!
