Answer Me

Answer Me

A Poem by James Mckay
"

about a poet suffering with writer's block

"
I sit upon this stump
Pen and paper in hand
And the words come from
A huge gust of wind
Did it speak to me?
What did you say?
Please speak clearly
Why do you move away?
Come back! Come back!
I was in such deep thought
Trust me, I won't over react
Just please don't blow me off
What is it you want to me say?
I'm not sure how I should feel
I am starting to turn a bit grey
I just thought we had a deal
I can feel you on my neck
I enjoy your cool, gentle breeze
You are more than I did expect
Just say something, please
Don't toil with my emotions
Please don't break my heart
I'm leaving it out in the open
Just don't rip it apart
Don't let me wait much longer
I feel this isn't the best of me
Forgive me, for I'm not stronger
Please hurry! Answer me!

About
Tx! Hello my name is James and I'm 46. I began writing at an early age and I'm sure most of our poetry started with "Roses are Red", etc. I'm not sure where my love or desire for poetry came from .. more..
