Poet BearA Poem by James MckaySome people think of me as a big old teddy bear and I write poetry, so that's how I came up with Poet Bear
Poet Bear
Sittin upon a rock near a meadow and a stream With a pen and paper, trying to capture my dream Pondering my imagination, without a worry or care Just simple words from the heart of a gentle, Poet Bear Listening to the sound of wind blowing through the treesMy thoughts are collecting, as they are jotted down with ease I am all alone with nature, nobody but God is there Just simple words from the heart of a loving Poet Bear Of course my Father above is watching as I gently writeAnd when the sun goes down, I still have the moonlight Crickets are chirping, lightning bugs are upon the air Just simple words from the heart of a peaceful Poet Bear The sounds of rustling water, the hoots of an old owlAlso a lonely wolf was letting out one of his majestic howls A lovely songbird sings in the treetops right above me there Just simple words from the heart of a graceful Poet Bear All the nocturnal critters came out to catch a simple glimpseNone have ever heard affectionate words ever been mention since But they have all arrived despite the dangers of the unaware All to hear the simple words from the heart of a sweet Poet Bear. by: James W.
