Fishin'

Fishin'

Fishin'

We had our Shakespeare rods
We love using those Zebco reels
We use canadian nightcrawlers
Our bait, the fish would steal

We had an old styrofoam ice chest
Full of Dr. Pepper and sandwiches
Got the Off for those pesky mosquitoes
Just wipe the dirt on our denim britches

Cast the line and hooked a trim limb
Now a have to cut it; start over again
Put a new leader on, pass the swivels
The sky opened up and it's starting to drizzle

That rain feels so good on a humid day
At least the skeeters will finally go away
It's slowing down; it just feels all right
Maybe now the catfish will start to bite

I'm having the best time with you here
I think this is the greatest part of livin'
I could spend each day do things like this
So if y'all need me; I'm just out here fishin'.
