Maybe there will come a day

Maybe there will come a day

A Poem by TwoDaysTooLate
"

It's kind of a back to school vent-y kind of thing, I don't even know at this point.

"
Maybe there will come a day,
When I'm alive and I'm okay,
Not screaming, twisting or falling,
Waiting for fortune to come calling.

Maybe there will come a day,
When I stop pushing you away,
And I relax, let down my guard,
They say, 'Come on, it isn't hard'.

Maybe there will come a day,
When I hate to leave and want to stay,
The shadows no longer chase me now,
The show is over, take a bow.

Maybe there will come a day,
I know for sure it's not today,
When I don't like in my words,
No one knows how much it hurts.

And I'm also assuming you meant "When I don't live in my words" rather than "When I don't like in my words"

ah thank you so much! i can't spell to save my life, yes, you're correct :)
I like short poems. I feel they carry the most meanings because they force creativity and depth. This is one I like a lot, the idea of depression and hope is fathomable and this piece puts me right in the center of it
