Re: Gay vs. God

Response to the story listed as Gay vs. God.

After much thought on the question of sexuality versus religion, I have come to a rather surprising discovery within myself.

Due to the fact that I don't fall into the categories of 'gay' or 'bisexual', I decided to go to a friend for more information. Being a lesbian, she was able to explain how much pressure they are under on a daily basis.

They are constantly getting put down by religious groups, and while she's devoted to god, they just point out the whole 'it's a sin' thing and cast her out.

So that's when I started thinking, maybe they are too busy going by some book that was probably falsely written by some very judgemental dude. Maybe they should concentrate more on god himself.

I did this, and the results shocked me. I started to find myself more accepting of gay's, and other groups as well. I believe now that god doesn't see sin in us, but rather individuals who are unique and wonderful in every way. I know that not everyone will agree with me at first, but give it some thought. You won't regret it.

You are right and i totally agree with this. I have been trying to keep that very thought in mind everytime I meet somebody that is "Gay" "Bisexual" or "lesbian". Nicely put
