Cheddar Bunnies and Van Gogh

Cheddar Bunnies and Van Gogh

A Poem by Twisted Words (Tom)
"

somber holidays

"

Its Cheddar Bunnies and Van Gogh
A twisted sacrament, I know

Neither body nor the blood
And yet they are reminders of...

All the year, I've grateful heart
But on this day it does depart

For clarity is not my friend
Glowing home fires show my end

A day when superficial dies
And in the street my value cries

As dog that's hit by ruthless car
I never could reach that far

To hold a hand with out my taint
Though pure of heart, a black winged saint

My world is covered, frozen white
Of all the things I lack tonight

Ghosts from past through future haunt
Replace my gratitude for want

Reaching hand up to cold glass
I see your world yet cannot pass

From this side I have felt you
Breath and pulse, but can't fit through

So Cheddar bunnies in moon beams
Van Gogh under stars it seams

I thank the Lord for them today
My gratitude, this holiday
