Just another "Political Outburst"

"

In the blink of an eye, the new meaning of the word Patriotic, took effect, on an early fall day. Once again, tragedy, had to occur in order to get some attention. This beautiful country founded hundreds of years ago, in order to be independent and free from control. The citizens had finally had enough, and stood up to claim what was theirs. Our forefathers, the framers, as history books labeled them, selected very precise wording, in the form of the Constitution, to celebrate and protect the citizens from Governmental Control.

Through out history, and era’s, developments, and technology- the importance of independence and freedom, slowly faded out- and citizens took those important issues, as a ‘given’ . Taken for granted, and became consumed with themselves, in their own little ’worlds’. After all, We the People apparently became interpreted as, “we trust our government’ to worry about those silly little issues. Our beautiful country, full of wealth and power- "so they must be doing something right."

Standing up and actually fighting for issues of major importance- has now become, “voice an issue at election time, and the one that promises change and solutions, is who we elect.” Once he is in office, we go back to our selfish lives, and assume our perfect elected representative, is following through with his promises. Year after year, it’s the same issues. So obviously- we elected yet another wrong candidate.  We have fallen into the “it’s okay. There’s always next time” way of excusing this s**t. We excuse the official so to speak. Why aren’t we holding the entire Government responsible? Maybe, its in their way of getting things done, that is the root of the problem. Maybe the Government- needs a complete makeover- restoring back to the values and foundation this country was intended for. When issues mattered, actions got results. The tea party.

The United States sends millions and billions of dollars to other country’s in support of aid, or constructive change, or, Interfere- with attempting to change those country’s into what the US thinks it should be. Yet, our own, are homeless, out of work, loosing our homes, have no health care, and the list goes on and on. Were told this is the wealthiest country, full of power and control. We are going into foreign lands and trying to control them. Gee, that sounds familiar in our own history. What did we do. We stood up and fought. Ours is called the Tea Party. We call their rebellion, 911. Has anyone taken a look at it like that? No. We call them terrorist. Because that’s what we’re told,, from our Governments point of view, or how the Government wants it reported.

We think, they should all be grateful, after all, We are helping them. -- That is what we are led to believe by the information given to us. After all…We wouldn’t lie, in the land of the free. Our media has lately been filled with much controversy. The White House, and Fox News. The White House, doesn’t seem to approve or like the ‘Fair, and Balanced” reporting aspects of Fox. Hmmm, I wonder why?? The government tells us what they want us to know. That doesn’t mean it’s accurate, people!! The news stations, in other lands, report the current events, as they see them happening, and actually experiencing. Yet, we don’t see or hear Those reports. Why?

We think, that other Nations, are just “jealous”- Why is it, that we Think this way? Have you ever traveled abroad, and actually had a political conversation with a resident? They don’t like us. Can you blame them? After all, we are trying to change or create for them, things we want, or think is best. Because, we’re the best. If that’s true, then why are American citizens, suffering?

But guess what people? We have nobody to blame, but ourselves! We let them. We whine about things here and there.. Boo hoo. We complain because “this is America, everyone should speak only English’. Did you know that, in Greece as well as other country‘s- the elementary student is taught at least 3-4 languages as part of their curriculum. Its NOT an elective. So, as those children become adults, who is really the more well-rounded, educated person.?

How many amendments, including the Bill of Rights, and Subsequent Amendments of the Constitution does the average American citizen actually know? 4 perhaps 5? Which one actually holds any meaning to you??

There are 27.

And of all of them, every American citizen should treasure and protect the 9th and respectively the 10th.

To sum it, for those that don’t really know. It may “alternatively refer to a situation when an individual or group of people delegate limited powers to a government.” In other words, If we don’t like our Form Of Government, we can Abolish it. The 10th-Limits the powers of the Federal Government to only those specifically granted to it by the constitution. The irony of this amendment is that for the last 100 years, our government, has re-wrote, portions of all the true and original intended amendments, that best suits them.. And they did it without even telling you.

The government, the framers, that established the Constitution, to protect us from Abuse of Government and Policing Authority-In which, slowly the same government has now slowly, altered the wording, and meanings- so that it now- protects them. Take for example.. Our 9th amendment, giving me, or a group, the power to speak out, change our form of government- has now established ‘laws’, that if we speak out against our beloved government, its Treason. Or you’re a traitor.

So you tell me- How can any US citizen, exercise their 9th or any of their Constitutional Rights, that we are supposedly entitled to?

If that one isn’t enough to convince you- lets pick a few of them apart..e

The 1st-  Freedom of religion, speech, press, the right to petition and assemble. A courtroom for example- the truth, whole truth and nothing but… yet, the defense and prosecution decide what the jury can hear, or see. Why? What sort of Law is that? Let them hear the truth. All of it. So basically-- all it means now is, we are allowed to talk, but they will control what we talk about.

-The 2nd-The right to bear arms. I do believe, big issues are the headlines right now for gun control. They have already wrote in extra laws, so that certain people- cant bear arms. Such as a felon. Now, they are slowly working on, No guns for anyone.

The 4th-The right to be free from Search and Seizures. Yet, law enforcement, is given the right to lie, trick or deceive. If they say, you did this, or seen that- it’s the truth- or their the credible ones, after all. So how is that protecting us ?

The 6th-The right to a fair and speedy public trial. How is it fair, when the entire truth is not being disclosed? If its public, why do they pick and choose what trials can be broadcast?

Again, new laws, creatively worded into each and every amendment- Loopholes is the best word. I pointed out only 4-of the most “popular” ones, that hopefully every citizen knows.

Proud to be an American? I guess that depends on whether your sleeping or finally awake.

The Tea Party’s are making news, Thanks to Fox- and the numbers are growing day by day.

Citizen’s are slowly beginning to realize that our beloved land, is in serious trouble, and they are starting to fight back.. And become the true Patriot- that patriotic- was intended to mean.

Another excellent article on how our rights as citizens are being slowly eroded and public confidence is as low as it has ever been,it's a sad reflection on society when the news agencies are being compromised by what capital hill says it wants them to broadcast or perhaps we don't like you very much Fox news because you tell the truth.
Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story mentality,i agree with all of your points there are so many which are indeed correct.
I think we live in a make do society where nobody gets too uptight about changes in the constitution of government reforms unless it affects them personally which is where your notion of personal selfishness and greed come in to play.
In an ideal world we would make our senators and mp's stand up to the main body of government and allow them to take issue with the broken promises or new initiatives which the senate or whitehall were initiating.
It's just the same old same old though and we just become blase about it all in the end,it takes guts and determination not to mention accepting the flack from so called patriots in order for change to come about, the little man and woman have got to stand up and create pressure groups to bring about change.
The problem in the uk that we find is that only 40 percent of the electorate will turn out at the polls and then roughly 40 percent of them will eventually vote for whoever is elected in to power so for arguments sake 40 % of 60 million = 24 million of which 30% will vote the elected leader = 7.2 million which is 8.5 % of the population how can that be democracy? Thanks for sharing i really enjoyed reading this wonderful rant.
