Freedom? Think again

Freedom? Think again

A Poem by Twistd1
"

Thomas Jefferson once said, " when we (citizens) stop paying attention to issues, we all become vulnerable to the wolves".

"

            Freedom? Think Again...

We give them the chance,  it's their's for the taking.

Hunger breeds power- your freedom devoured.

Unaware or asleep-the wolves, they will play,

Deception or Trickery, to get their prey.

Don't believe what you see, and don't believe what your told...

The truth be revealed- by the strong, brave and bold.

How refreshing your analysis of life really is,indeed those we put in power become complacent and think that they can get away with almost anything power is a dangerous thing in the wrong hands pretty much a knife or a gun for that matter.
Yes i agree with these powerful words it takes courage to bring down the government walls and it is now the time is right for us all to take a stand and be a little more outspoken,i think we have become desentized by war and the government knows this and this is why opposition is not stronger than it is.
It is a game of brainwashing Joe and joanne public in to submissive acceptance that nothing much will change whoever is in power.

I like it! I think I get it, but that may depend on where your coming from. I would be curious to know your political viewpoints to get a better idea of its meaning - but its fine if you don't want to divulge that too if you want it open to more individual interpretation.
