Wrote out of frustration..

Thank you for leaving
Thank you for staying away for so long
In your absence I've learned I can do without you
And that I don't need you to be strong

Thank you for existing
Thank you for leaving me in pain
I've learned you never really needed me
But I turned it into my gain

Thank you for going
Thank you for showing me what was not meant to be
I was blinded by sadness after you left
But now I can see

........But how could you leave me?
How could you go?
You said I could trust you
But trust was not in this show

You're always on my mind
Why won't your memory leave me be?
You said I could trust you
And I believed it when you said you loved me....

The best poems are written when our emotions seem to take over. Your words are filled with sarcasm and bitterness at first, that is plain to see...but then they turn to words of hurt, betrayal, almost pleading for the return of your loved one. This was a very emotional piece. I sympathize with you...I couldn't imagine my boyfriend leaving me. I hope that you find someone more deserving of you. :]
