Curiosity

This poem is dedicated to my friend who always wants to know everything and anything

Why are we so curious?

Curious to know the answer

to an endless amount of unexplainable questions

Curious to know

What lies beyond this universe

Curious to know why we were put on this earth

Curious to know what it means

to be human

Curious to know what somone wished for

on a shooting star

Curious to know how we can

love so deeply..

..and hurt to badly..

We have tried to explain these things

We have tried to get answers

to the improbable

Because we are human

and it is in our nature

Because we like to have the knowledge that these things

actually may exist

Because they sometimes drive us insane

Because we are curious.

Out of curiosity, how does this minor rearrangement (yes, I know - a terrible and most horrible sin for which I shall spend an eternity in poetic Hell writing dirty limericks)... ugh, I feel like I have violated you in some form by doing this; I just wonder if you can see how this changing the overall feeling of the piece:

Why are we so curious?

Nice work.

It seems as though you are asking the question and then giving a number of plusible explainations for our curiosity. Sometimes I wonder if I am the only person who feels this way or that way, then I realize that its just plain ridiculous of me to think that when there ar roughly 5 billion people on this planet.

I'm just saying that at one point or another everyone has this sort of curiosity, anyone who says they don't are either lying or extremely stupid..lol
