Raindrop

Raindrop

A Poem by Esmeralda Enten
"

A poem of heartbreak.

"

I was sitting alone

In a dark forest

When I felt a raindrop

Fall on my nose

It made me think of you

As it slowly trailed down my nose

Falling, fallling, falling

Onto the dark floor

Eventually it melded with all the other raindrops

It became unrecognizble to me

Just like you had

And I cried

And more raindrops fell

One after the other

Onto to me

And each of them

Made me think of one person

You

You who fell away from me

You who immersed yourself in darkness

And changed everything that made me love you

You who ended up being like all the others

And now

When I see a raindrop

All I can think of is you

You who broke my heart

That was pretty good. The style it was written in was good. I have felt many of these same emotions before.

Wow, that's really good. I love the imagery and how you kept both the raindrop and what it represented vivid through to the end. I can relate. I think most people can. Good poem.

Poor Essa! I'm sorry! I really like it, although you made a mistake.
"You who fell away from me
You who immersed yourself in darkness
And changed everything that made me love you
You who ended up being like all ther others"
You added an 'r' to the second-to-last word in the last line. Other than that, I love it!
