The Secular SocietyA Poem by TwilightThe meanings in this poem should be clear to readers. If not, you are always perfectly welcome to ask for clarification. It is an indictment of modern society (based on my observations in the UK).In the secular society, there is no propriety, little sobriety and no piety,
Only the seeketh of pleasure, without considered measure,
Instead of righteousness, greed still prevails, so many in love with the self, health, wealth and no regard for true worth,
Appearances seem almost all, genuine feelings mocked or scorned, surely human society deserves more? © 2010 TwilightAuthor's Note
