Storm From Heaven

Storm From Heaven

A Poem by Twilight
"

Although this poem may seem rather extreme or severe in places, there are also words of hope and wisdom for Christians.

"

When the second coming takes place,

no sinners will be safe,

only those who have kept their faith,

will gain from God's grace,

Fire, plague and pestilence,

will punish all,

but not for the innocent,

who shall receive his blessing,

Whilst they watch the shadow passing,

as they await eternal life,

soon to be attained,

in the Holy Spirit ordained,

Satan will now be tamed,

and banished from God's kingdom,

to be enthralled in bonds of chains,

never to speak again...

I like this! I found it sheer perfection. Yes a fellow Christian here, not that one can tell by my poems, but am all the way. This was so true. I found your words sounding like a verse my grandmother used to say. 'There for the darkness we rise, yet he who see's all shall see with eyes of forgiveness, with such for those that follow the light, for in darkness the dark one shall rest, to forever dwell till the end of days.

Just thought I would share.

Nicely written! Very powerful piece that encourages reflection on salvation and the struggle between good and bad. Thanks for sharing. :)

A tidy little package of a poem. Succinct and neat. Christian but not preachy, just laying out the details. Nicely done.

I love this poem! Reminds us of the definate second coming, that could happen any time. Offers the hope and reassurance that we will be saved but also reminds me that there are some that won't so we should try to spread the word!
Great work! ~A

This is amazing. It was really interesting and accurate and tells me you are really proud of your religion.. You make it sound dark, but you are talking about light (God), really, so I really enjoyed reading this. Good work.

Well the way this poem is worded, it gives the impression that if you've ever sinned in you life, you will not be accepted by God into heaven. We're all sinners. Other than that, I believe it's a wonderful poem. Very lovely.
