Cinefantastique

Cinefantastique

A Poem by Twilight
"

This poem attempts to express my expectations of the cinematic experience. For example, the impact of this medium on an audience and my senses. Also, how cinema influences the mind and so on...

"

Relax your senses and suspend disbelief,

whilst you prepare for cinefantastique,

keep the mind open and focus your thoughts,

Day or night,

ignore the cinehype,

think for yourself of what lies in store!

Will it be fun or a dreadful bore?

If you don't like it,

It could be a chore,

Come what may,

it's too late to leave,

now that you've paid for your cinema seat,

I often hope that a film will surprise,

hold my interest,

educate or transform lives!

Promote our awareness of social change,

social realism or is it social games?

and just like us,

No film is the same....

I like the flow of this. But i can't say that it gives me the feeling of going to the cinema.

I do also disagree with the fact that "no film is the same." I have been to hundreds of movies and I have seen thousands more (Movie buff) and i can tell you that not all movies are the same, but there are movies in each genre that are exactly the same.

If the experience if different for each film, then that might be more of what you want to express.

Other than that i really did enjoy this.
