This piece praises the potential of artistic creativity, in terms of how the artist may benefit on an individual level.

Camera, pen or brush,

Canvas, paint or ink,

end results which make you think,

 

Alternative means of expression,

can sometimes teach a lesson,

and help to set us free,

from mundane realities,

 

Art can change your perception,

or reinforce a deception,

show the truth for what it is,

not the routine narrative,

a true artist has much to give...

This poem is awesome!!! :D And so true ~ art is not only a way for people to express themselves in all different ways but also a way to lose yourself and escape from reality, as you said - I couldn't put it better! An inspiring, short poem ~ loved it!

Like the rhyming use! Its true that sometimes arts lead us to inner places we never would have realized without an artists expression. It is the wonderful gift of imagination, depth, and centering in on some details that one may never had noticed that God has blessed us with. Its great how you mention that it can reinforce deception. I quite agree it can be used as good or bad in various ways, its hard to judge though, what is deception. It as, after all, so decieving.

I really like this piece a lot. It rings so true. Never really thought of art in the way you described, but since I started writing a few months ago, I really do see where you're coming from. "a true artist has much to give" Can't agree with you more.
