"You Just Need To"

"You Just Need To"

A Poem by Twilight
"

A simple but concise critique, of a few minor complaints of mine, regarding modern society. How easily, people accept the technological advice and claims, which are sold to them, and related concepts.

"

There's always another widget,

faster internet,

and other gimmicks,

"you just need to do this",

then life will be bliss??

Until that iminent moment,

when they say you need something else,

what happened to commonsense,

why accept such great expense?

Time is money they say,

don't waste a single day,

face the daily fray,

we always have to pay.

A very conversational poem dear @ Twilight . We were consumerist of good etiquette, Samaritan attitude and of philosophy and of erudite, once, seems long back! Whatever happened to common sense the!!? The hope that these marketing gimmicks only appeal to the fickle minded immature may have not held true as we witness the giant corporates building up looting. The craze of the megalomaniacs by targeting the weak doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. Their promise of improvement through material goods lasting happiness and value, work buy-constantly and keep-paying are only becoming stronger, seems like there is no need of advertisemnets any more now as people have made these their life mantras ignorantly. Our senses have grown uncommonly illogical and only growing into fantastic!
Enjoyed it.

People want what is new, and they know how to sell it to the population to make it sound like they need it—nicely expressed.

A write that most will find close to the heart in a day when advertising is catered to not what we need but what they say we need and telling us it is better and we are happier for having it. Soon they will be delivering the item before we order it saying that AI knew we were going to want it. Nicely said.

Very well put and I agree 100%. "What happened to common sense" Good question. It does seem to be long gone.
