A Picture of Love

A Picture of Love

A Poem by Twilight

I remember the bliss,

Of your first kiss,

That warm tongue,

And tender lips

That refined shape,

And of late,

Your face reminds me,

Of a portrait

Which I held,

In my hands,

When you travelled,

To distant lands

Away from me,

But your thoughts were near,

And my intentions were crystal clear

A rose for you,

I longed to spare,

To rest gently,

In your black hair

I think you know,

What could follow,

Timeless love,

Or endless sorrow.

I think this is very beautiful. it's melodic as some of the other reviewers stated. It flows so sweetly and then you end it by saying that it could end with
"timeless love
or endless sorrow"
causing it to be almost bittersweet because the reader realizes that it could end in sorrow...excellent write as always!

I saw, from my profile page, that you had entered this in a contest... Great choice of poetry. It was very soothing, yet sorrowful. Loving and lonely. Bittersweet. Its beautiful. I wish you the best of luck!!! : )

"I think you know,

Tis very true. You never know what could happen in a relationship. It could all be happyness and unsurpassed love but it could all end in disaster and be faced with "endless sorrow" Reminds me of whats going on in my life. But in anycase...ver beautiful peice and great as always.

J, a compassionate and delicate piece. So much said here in few words, your heart poured out on paper. You definitely show diversity in your writing from the dark side to romanticism. Nicely penned.

Julian, this is such a heart warming, full of love, touching piece.
Perhaps love can be the greatest feeling ever, or just the worst feeling ever? Gotta agree.

" I think you know, what could follow, timeless love , or endless sorrow." So very true about about love. I wonder if the writer has a specific inspiration behind this poem. Its very lovely , I enjoyed it. Well done.

A romantic poem that packs a powerful reminder at the end . . .

"I think you know,
What could follow,
Timeless love,
Or endless sorrow."

Ah, such is love! The greatest risk, for an even greater reward, or heartbreak.

Grand write!
