On purpose, I kept an old-fashioned kind of feel for this poem. It is about a man's yearning for his lover, after she has departed from this realm. Perhaps it is also a homage to love.
But How Could Anyone Take The Place,
Of Such Great Beauty,
And Endless Grace?
I Still Remember,
Her Beauteous Face,
That Tender Body,
And Warm Embrace
Eternal But Blind,
I Always Find,
No Greater Gift,
Than Love Divine.
Beautiful tribute to love mixed with a twinge of sadness. Love that last verse...poetically genius.
Beautifully written piece you have penned here. Has an old poetry feel to it, and a great tone for medieval times. Well done! Found it a pleasure to read, and I look forward to reading more of your work. PW
I'm very interested now, the rhyme scheme seems so complex, and yet it is very humble. It sets a great tone for the poem-I also love the way it makes me feel as though this was written by a Knight, not because of actual medieval verbiage so much as the position of the words you did use..."But She Is No More, Whilst I Am Here" Love it!
Great write, thanks for sharing!

This is sooo beautiful, it reminds me of Edgar Allen Poe for some reason, this is simply stunning. I love the Neo-classical style, and the general loving essence of it.
Thanks so much for sharing!
