Going Back To Cali (or do you prefer to worship cars?)A Poem by TwilightIn two parts, this poem ponders materialism; and what people should or do - yearn for in their lives... I just used Cali as a metaphor. Also, the song featuring Cali by LL Cool J; prompted me.
Part I:
I'm going back to Cali, An approach and state of mind, Better there than a highway, Since when do highway crashes, Bring anyone peace of mind?, In Cali we satisfy the mind, In Cali true pleasure comes first, To hell with your metal demon carriages, Each one a potential curse, And another burden to your purse, Vehicular destruction of planet, Of your souls, Not merely your minds, Forget those demon boxes, Extract them from your minds, Part II: The world out there is wider, Way more than for material gain, Cherish every woman partner, Lusting naturally in lust's natural state, Is love's gain, Read and learn, Read for pleasure, And live as you learn, Cherish your friends, Not fashion trends, Nature too, Ready for you to explore, Love family more, And stay open, For the stranger at your door, For one day that stranger might be you, Should you ever turn poor..? © 2024 TwilightAuthor's Note
