Keepsake

A Poem by Twenty Degrees

She sat alone in her tower.
Reading her book that she had been given.
Recalling her father's own words,
"read this to me."

The girl wanted to read this book,
but she couldn't.

The king had given her an impossible task.
Something that bothered her from day to day.
So she read the book every day,
always remembering his words.

For the night after.
He breathed no more.

I enjoy the fantasy like elements you placed in this one, and how it's more story like. It leaves me wondering what she will do with this task, now that it cannot be completed. Keep up the ever improving work! :)

Good show of skill!
I like this.
Short, but substantial. Good job my friend.
