Free the Fallen

Free the Fallen

A Poem by Ari

How do I write on the sun when the clouds are in the way, covering the very light of truth from my aired out thoughts?
Hovering in the dry sky are the full of flight souls that are of the endearing.
Felicity is gone and she’s taken Serenity with her.
There no longer is pure air surrounded by the atmosphere of hope.
The death of our comfort bubble has waged war with the levels of our beings to fight frights of demons soon released.

But it’s too late, they’re already here.
Will you dance for them when they come for you?
Or will you drown in your sorrow?
You may run from your demons while I will sleep with mine.
Tall, dark and ruthless, they are. Full of passionate hatred, they are driven between my legs forcing acid to fill the middle and spill out into my puddle of tears.
Tearing my insides apart, I bleed and weep a mournful death.
The stars have begun to fall, Felicity and Serenity are dead.
Will you hold them as they slip between the imperfections of your fingers?
Hold to the sky the last of them, the last of you, the last of us.
