A World Left Behind

A World Left Behind

A Poem by tuesday nobody

I wanna hear the sugar
The sweet sound of belief
I wanna taste the music
The lyrics are my relief

I want the lost sensation
Gushing down my throat
To hear the cacophony
Of all the words you wrote

I feel the emptiness calling me
The longing stronger each day
I feel the chains that shackle me
I just wanna fly away

But the bitterness is quenching
In my land of make-believe
Yet I know I have to leave it soon
Because it don't believe in me
