Words That Hurt

Maybe people don’t realize

But what they say is hurtful.

 

What you hear, what you see, what you whisper.

Why use it to go after someone,

Who may need a friend?

 

For what reason in this world, would someone

Go after someone they consider a friend,

And cut them so deep that they hurt?

 

Many people ask why.

But now I have to ask,

For what personal gain would you get?

 

By tearing apart a person who wanted nothing but friendship?
