Daniel

His feet were throbing from him running so far and long. He stopped to catch his breath. He was tall and very muscular. He was wearing pants that were torn around the legs and a shirt that was barely even a shirt anymore. The white shirt had blood stains all over it and was torn up everywhere. A chain with a red orb hung from around his neck. The mans name was daniel and he looked to be about nineteen or so. His muscles were expanding as he gripped his fists. There was a big gash on his right arm and on his back not far from his spin. A furious growl excaped his lips. He threw his head upward toward the black night sky. The only light around was the few stars that could get through the cluster of the trees in the woods. Just then a dark shadow appeared above him. His face's expression was mixed with anger and pain. He clenched his fists and took off running again. The woods he was in seemed to never end. Every where he tried to hide the shadow would find him. The dark shadow shot after him, moving faster than daniel was moving. Daniel ran faster growling at himself in anger. He thought "I should be fighting this shadow not running from it!". Furious he wasn't paying attention and tripped over a dead tree trunk on the ground. He feel hard to the ground, hit his head on a large rock, and rolled two times on the ground. He groaned in pain and held his eyes closed tight. His head felt like a knife went through it and was now becoming numb. Nervously he moved his hand slowly to his head to feel where he hit it. When he touched the spot he felt a warm liquid. He pulled his hand down to look at how bad the bleeding was. A dark crimson colored liquid covered most of his hand. He growled in anger and threw himself up off the ground despite the pain he was feeling. He was more angry than anything. He could finally see a clearing in the woods. He ran for the clearin as fast as he could jumping over rocks and stumps trying not to fall again. He was so focused on reaching the clearing he didn't notice the shadow wasn't behind him but by now he was running to fast to stop. The shadow show'd up in front of him and threw him to the ground. He went flying through the air and hit the ground hard. Even though hitting the ground knocked the wind out of hiim and made the gash on his back bleed more than it was alreadyhe still got up as fast as he could. Getting up so fast made him light headed and caused him to throw up some blood. Despite him srtill feeling dizzy he got up and ran the best he could without falling down again. His head was clearer after a few seconds and in the distance he could see a farm. There was a tree not to far away from him so he he ran to the tree trying to set a goal. When he set a goal for him he would usually reach his goal. He was only ten feet away from the tree when he felt the cold chill of the shadows hand. He felt it's cold grasp on his arm. He shook his arm hoping he could shake the hsadow off but it was to no avail. His feet searched desperatly for the ground as he was lifted into the air, fifteen feet high. Furious he let out a growl and with his other hand he swung feriously at the hsadow but the shadow threw him before he could try to get close to the shadow. Daniel couldn't do anything, he knew what was coming. He could see the tree getting closer fast as he sailed through the air. He closed his eyes, waiting for the impact. His body was so numb it took awhile for him to realize he hit the tree. He kept his eyes closed and felt himself hanging from ove a wide branch. He didn't know how high up the tree he was and he didn't want to know. Hearing the eerie sharp sound of the shadow made him pinch his eyes shut. The shadow circled over the branch daniel was on. Daniel laid there groaning on the branch. Blood dripped down his arm. He felt a stir in the air as the shadow shot up into the dark black sky and started decending fast on him. Daniel grabbed onto the branch ready for the impact and preparing for the worst. Having his eyes to tight to see anything, he was wondering why the shadow hadn't detroyed him yet. Just then he heard the shadows high pitch yell and a bright light started to show through his shut eyes. He shot his eyes open and all he saw was a bright red light. He looked up seeing that the shadow was retreating from the light. He squinted his eyes and looked around trying to see where the light was coming from. "Is there a car down there. Are these the lights from a cars head lights". He then saw the sorce of the light. The red orb on his chain was producing the bright red light. He sat up on the branch and moved his back against the tree trunk, sitting where the branch came out the tree. The shadow was soon gone and he felt a kind of peace without the feeling of the cold stare of the shadow. The light from the orb dimmed down. He took the chain off from around his neck and rapped the chain around his fingers. He stared at the orb as the dim light completly vanished. There was then no proof that this plain orb produced that light. The only proof he had was in his memory. He suddenly felt dizzy. He looked down at the branch and there he saw mostof his blood. His hands fell to his side hanging from the branch. One of his legs were hanging to the side but the other one just layed on the branch. He passed out from to much of his blood draining from him. The chain fell to the tip of his index finger and stayed hanging there. The light of the sun rise cased a shadow of the tree over the feild. The feild looked beautiful showing no sign of the horror that had just happened.
