Test of LoveA Poem by Tsuki UsagiThe shadows creep across the ground their eyes set upon us..........The shadows creep across the ground, their eyes set upon us. The sun filled meadow in which we stood, is now dark and silent. Lightning flashes across the sky, the rain pours down upon us. We stand there back-to-back in fear as the shadows gather round. You take my hand in reassurance, telling me its ok. I look you in the eyes and say I love you in every way. The shadows close in around us and pull me from behind. They throw you down upon the ground, our hands become untwined. They hold you down and make you watch as they rape my very soul. My screams of pain and their laughs of malice; to destroy love is their goal. Tears form and stream down my face from the horror and the pain. I try to escape back to you, but my struggles are in vain. You scream and cry out my name but the thunder tunes it out. We stare each other in the eyes, as our minds are filled with doubt. Do we truly love each other? Are we meant for each others hearts? Will the shadows actually succeed in pulling us apart? The shadows finish up with me and step back to watch the results. Are we really meant for each other or are they the ones at fault? Anger forms upon your face as you rip and pull away. The shadows watch in shock as you run and catch me as I sway. We fall and I land ontop you, your arms around my chest. The shadows start to back away as we kiss and pass the test. The test of love is hard my friends, but don't let that shadow your heart. Just remember if you're really meant to be together, the shadows can't pull you apart. © 2010 Tsuki UsagiAuthor's Note
