Like I DoA Poem by NosytThis is about a relationship that's ending and the person just wants the other person to be happy, that is until they actually see it, with someone else
Like I used to
I wanted you to be happy, It was obvious not with me, I wanted you to move on, So you will find peace internally. It wasn’t about my feelings for you, It was about your needs, And how all of them I could not do. I could only hope he would listen to you like I once did, I could only wish he would keep less from you then what I hid. He better know how to message your back like I do He better take notes from me on what jokes are funny to you. Hopefully he would be willing to do the things I would do for you Hopefully he would know when you need the comfort I would give to you. Then I saw you with him and it all became tainted, His hand was on your hip where mine once was located. My lust for you began to rule, As I heard him make you laugh the was you used to. I heard him tell a joke I once told you, Then I heard you giggle like it was completely new. It didn’t matter with who, It was just seeing someone else kissing you, It was seeing you smile while in his arms, And thinking what later might pursue. It was seeing him look in your eyes like I once used to, Like Karen O, I am left thinking, “Wait….. He don’t love you like I love you.” © 2010 Nosyt |
