Failings I Have Overcome

Failings I Have Overcome

A Poem by Whitney
"

Just a little love thing. Wish it was that easy.

"

My shaking index finger
Composes letters in the sky
But by the time the last is drawn
Jealous winds kiss it good-bye

The sand seems more forgiving
So I'll try it one last time
But careless waves beat down on it
Like to erase a pointless rhyme

Right as I start to give it up
And before I start to cry
I see how foolish I have been
With all the methods I have tried

With a smile on my face
I know I've been too shy
I carve your name into my heart
So you will always be my guy

Such a sweet poem! I loved it. Though for me, I'd have to change "guy" to girl. Though that would make your words flow less at the end. Any way, I enjoyed the fluid flow of words, and the sweet ending of it. Great job, and keep up the great work.
