My Promise To You

My Promise To You

A Poem by Whitney
"

Wrote it for my boyfriend. I want to get better, and be with him forever.

"

When I make you this promise
I'll write it in blood
It only seems like a drop
But it's really a flood

These are all my tears
I'm laying them down
Please dry them up
So my soul doesn't drown

Take away all my blades
They just aren't worth my pain
Give them to someone else
I've got no blood left to drain

Flush these pills down the tube
I don't want to be high
Thousands of dollars are wasted
This I can no longer deny

Sell this gun to the shop
I was pulling the trigger
But you've made me realize
The picture is much bigger

So this is my promise
I've made up my mind
We'll always be a team
I'll never leave you behind

I think the rhythm is a bit off, but it doesn't matter.

You are correcct bout the rhyming but i saw through it this poem i do love for the fact that you acknowledge three different types and just do happens the most popular types and suicides in this poem overdose, cut wrist, and gun great work here the person that you wrote this for must be a really great person keep it going.
