Collision

Collision

A Poem by Whitney
"

End of the world

"

The limitless stars...

The impenetrable radiance on earth they bestow

Will end with malignancy

As they plunge to their judgment

And ours...

Leaving nothing behind

Except the interminable measure of catastrophe

The ashes and bones of the convicted and untainted...

The unaware, reduced to fragments

Nothing left in existence...

Only the infinite mobility of the wind

It weeps in deserted discontentment
