The Whole of You

The Whole of You

A Poem by Benjamin L. Weekly
"

Sense

"

The feel of your hand
On my skin
A sensation rising, warm

The sound of your word
In my ear
A whisper traveling, quiet

The smell of your hair
In my nose
An aroma wafting, pleasant

The taste of your strawberry
On my tongue
A memory of favorites, sweet

The sight of your eyes
In my eyes
A spark catching, brilliant

The whole of you
With me
A union forever, happy

Your note on this describes it well. This is a poem that captures the sensations of being with the beloved. Refreshing...ah, love expressed from a poetic heart.

This is a well written love poem. Whoever is the recipient of these feelings is one lucky person.
"The sight of your eyes
In my eyes
A spark catching, brilliant"
beautiful lines..Nicely done.

Nice, I like how you use all the senses in this poem, but you still have a good overall meaning.

Benjamin!!!

I remember you!!!!
We once played in a garden of words poetic, and I'm happy to see you still here on WritersCafe.org.
I will always remember the theological aspects of your heart entwined with poetry-
This one is a bit different from what I used to remember you writing. It sounds like you're in love-
with the sense of yourself one with another. I like the way this poem flows, how it reads, its rhythm, its sweet breath.
It is beautiful---it sounds like a fairytale come to life, with two who have found each other.

Very beautiful. You got the point through well. And I liked it (Which is good enough for me).
