Whispers of the wind, a single breath, a blink of the eye. You were gone...
I wake up in the dark room, alone and confused. My hands were cold, my eyes are
vague and distant. The reason behind my smile is no more. Every breath is heavy
and incomplete, my heartbeat is hollow and weak. Agony in every fiber of my
being, failure with the energy of my soul. My cheeks soaked with an all too
familiar liquid, the airway of my throat is now useless and filled with the
inconsistent, varying sobs of sorrow. All I see is black and white shadows, not
a single ray of lightcoming from the window. The wind is cold and loneliness
fills my gaze.
In a single moment "Where have you gone?" Those vivid alluring eyes, those warm
hands once intertwined with mine. That innocent smile that perked up my
mornings, that beautiful girl who gave color, definition and meaning to my
world...
Gone... Like the whisper of the wind...
This is beautiful and sad. I think all of us have been there at one time or another, facing the loss of someone who meant so much to us. No matter what we dream up to fill our days, people still need each other, still rely on each other, still are most happy when together vs. alone. Nice write, sweetheart.
My lyfe is a story in a story beyond what the eye sees you just have to open your eyes to see my true intentions...
