Midnight- Class of 2010

A Poem by Pikachu
"

A new chapter begins

"
Midnight... Yesterday is over but tomorow is yet to start. Stars line the sky, memories in your mind. Each star is different in many ways yet it is still a star. A memory itself holds its own value. You know that sooner or later the stars will begin to move to different parts of the sky to shine in a different place. You just freeze time and keep the view the way it is, the stars to stay the way they are but time cant be stop. Once morning comes the stars will have gone. Youre sad but youre proud to have been part of the moments each and every minute of this night, this memory priceless in your mind. You look around and you wonder if anybody else is sharing this moment... And as dawn comes, the sunrise calls for a new day. With emotions and maybe tears in your eyes. You turn and walk away towards a new beginning. Creating our own paths even if theyre not with any body else... We are all meant to shine as stars do, move around life itself. Yet we have to remember the priceless moments with unforgettable friends... We are Seniors... But more importantly we are friends... Wherever the road may take each one of us...

Wonderful write; as the years go by this memory will be cherished even more. Highschool was a great time to build friendships and through time and change you will get to appreciate who sticks arounds.

Definitely sounds like a graduation speech. :) I wish I had heard something like this at my sister's graduation....which I just had to sit through like two days ago hahaha....very beautiful, some vivid images. =)

Beautiful poem! Your comparison with the fate of stars and the path that life takes us with our memories is very true. Sad as it may be, yesterday was yesterday, and tomorrow is what matters. Great write! very relatable.

I'm a home schooler so i wasn't able to graduate like my friends did but it was awesome to watch them and it was kinda kewl that the speeches they had was actually pretty good. I was thinking in the same manner that you wrote your poem in after the graduation and when all the family members were circling there graduates. It was very interesting. all of the emotions with the friends and family.

I don't have much to comment on your writing. I like its an awesome write and true!
