An Ocean of PainA Poem by Aislinn Gryffin ((Ashes))Blue-winged butterflies, from my sapphire tears, carry me away to somewhere far from here.
But everywhere i go, everyone's the same, choking me in smokey memories and a fog of pain.
My scars are like a tall brick wall, keeping me from sight, my wings hang broken on my back keeping me from flight.
i may never have felt lonliness, but i've known my share of tears, now they fall and rise to drown me as i relive my fears.
So i'm sitting cross-legged, on the bottom of my sea, composing little poems for the one who's forgotten me. © 2010 Aislinn Gryffin ((Ashes))Author's Note
